 St Michael's Church,
Broad St, Bath 2008

Please Note:

Owing to a few cancellations we now have jewellery spaces available!

The Venue

The Crypt is below St Michael’s Church, Broad Street, Bath BA1 5LJ

It is ideally situated right in the middle of the shops in Bath city centre, and already very popular as a meeting place. Upstairs in the church itself there is a very busy coffee shop. The coffee shop brings in hundreds of people every day. This is a great venue for a Craft Fair and last year's two fairs were very busy indeed! Two of our craft fairs are timed to coincide with the Bath Christmas Market which brings thousands upon thousands of people to Bath every year.

On one side of St Michael's there is Waitrose supermarket (handy for lunchtime snacks etc) and The Podium shopping centre, and on the other there are the high end shops, Jolly’s department store, Shire’s Yard and Cath Kidston. At this time of year, it is to be expected that Bath city centre will be packed to bursting with tourists & shoppers.

I know the idea of a Crypt might sound unappealing, but as you can see from the photograph, it’s bright and airy.

Stall Costs

Tables in the crypt are £45 each. Tables are provided, with chairs, and are 6ft by 2ft trestle tables. Please note that there are only 13 spaces available. There will not be extra space for racks etc at the side of the tables. The crypt is a very tight venue.

If you require electricity please bring long extention leads!

City Centre Unloading!

This is very important!

As we are right in the centre of Bath, on a Saturday, we have to be extremely careful about unloading. There are a few places to park your car for the purposes of unloading next to St Michael’s.  There is a narrow parking bay next to the side door to the crypt, and also unloading bays next to Waitrose. These are usually completely empty around 7am on a Saturday morning. However traffic builds up very quickly so unloading needs to be done quickly in order for all the crafters to use the bays before the traffic warden's are on the rampage.

The nearest long stay car park is the one in Charlotte Street, about 5 minutes walk away. I believe that Waitrose’s car park is short stay, so you cannot park there all day. It doesn't open very early either, as well as being expensive

We hope to be at St Michael’s by 7.00 am on all Saturdays. There must be no cars parked in the immediate vicinity of the crypt after 8.30 am or the traffic wardens will be on the war path and they are red hot!
