Craft Fairs for the Crafter
Chipping Norton 2009 April 18th, May 16th, June 20th, July 18th, September 19th, October 17th and November 14th 2009 *****STOP PRESS***** All Jewellery Spaces Gone! Please note that the August date has been cancelled owing to CNTC double booking us with another hirer.
Chippie, as it's known by local people, is a thriving market town that boasts a large number of celebrities amongst it's population. It's an attractive and wealthy area, so perfect for our needs! We love this town. Last year our fairs were met with interest and enthusiasm. I lost count of the number of times I was asked when we would return. There's such a great atmosphere at Chippie too! When we booked the dates for 2009 we requested the same Saturdays as the Farmer's Market, however we aren't sure if the farmer's market has now changed to Sundays……We are still hoping for a December date (the Hall is fully booked at present) and I will let everyone know asap if one becomes available!
The Town Hall
This is a wonderful Georgian building, right in the centre of the main shopping area and the high end shops. The Hall is very smart, with all amenities and full disabled access. We can get access to the hall from 9am. We open to the public at 10am and close at around 4.30pm
Spaces
Each space costs £40, the same as last year. As this is a larger venue, you may book one or two tables. As with all venues, we will aim to get a good balance of crafts. Please email before booking to check if we still have a space for your particular craft.
Tables & Electricity
Tables are supplied included the cost. They are standard trestle size, 6ft by 2ft. Chairs are also supplied, two to a table, but there are plenty of spare chairs. Electricty can be supplied also included in the cost, and sockets are well placed and plentiful. Please bring long gang leads & extension leads if you require electricity.
Parking is FREE!
There are two long stay car parks. I checked online, and there is a long stay car park in New Street, and another in Albion Street, both about 5 minutes walk away. There are short stay parking places adjacent to the town hall which we can use for unloading but on Farmer's Market days unloading bays will be at a premium. Both New St & Albion St are marked on the map in the info pack and both are FREE at the time of printing.
Refreshments
I try to find time to bake before each craft fair so that there is sustenance to keep us going through busy periods, or just something highly calorific for quiet moments! I don't always manage to bake, but there will still be free tea & coffee for crafters in the kitchen area. It's self service, but please bring cups as there aren't any at Chippie!
If you'd like an info pack please email using the 'contact us' page and clearly stating 'Chipping Norton 2009'
